Death of William Button. Mr. William Button died at his home at Keeneyville on Dec. 15, aged nearly 88 years. He was a son of Alpheus and Betsy Button and was born in Middlebury township Feb. 19, 1820 and was the last surviving one of a family of fourteen children. He married Lurania Goodwin and to them eight children were born, six of whom survive. Mrs. Button died three years ago and since that time Mr. Button had lived alone most of the time until his last illness, when he was tenderly cared for by his daughters, Mrs. Eva Richardson, of Johnstown, and Mrs. Addie Webster, of Antrim. Mr. Button was of a genial, cheerful nature and was well liked and respected by all who knew him. Funeral services were conducted at the Keeneyville Baptist church last Tuesday at 2 p. m., by Rev. R. M. Cloud, of Wellsboro; burial in the Keeneyville cemetery.
