Death | December 1, 2008 (aged 83 years) Lewis Dean Lamb Obituary Condolences LAMB, Lewis Dean Age 83 of Lowman, NY, passed away on Monday December 1, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Lamb was a Veteran of WW II serving his country with the US Army. He married his wife, Wanda M. Wheeler Lamb, on June 16, 1946 and they recently celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on June 16, 2008. Lewis worked for Dura-Built Inc. and retired after 41 years of dedicated service. Lewis had been a volunteer fireman with The Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. Lewis loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. Lewis is survived by his loving and devoted wife Wanda Wheeler Lamb; sons and daughters-in-law: Dean & Jacqueline Lamb of Lowman, NY and James & Deborah Lamb of Wellsburg, NY; daughters and sons-in-law: Mary & James Reynolds of Ashboro, NC, Judith & Robert Ellis of Elmira Heights, NY, Laurie Lamb of Lowman, NY, and LewAnn Lamb of Elmira, NY; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Laura Allen of Wellsburg, NY, Donna O'Brien of Virginia Beach, VA and Cella Simons of Dryden, NY; brothers: Ralph Button of Dryden, NY and William Button of Aurora, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. It was Lewis' wish that there be no prior calling hours. Lewis' Family will receive friends at the family home 541 Lowman Crossover Lowman, NY on Friday December 5, 2008 from 5-7 PM.
