Simons, an employee at Cornell University for 13 years, died yesterday at Tompkins Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lettie McLean Simons; four sons, Harold W. Simons of Groton, Lester Simons and Richard Simons, both of Dryden, and Ronald Simons of Ithaca; three daughters, Mrs. Catherine Olds of Groton, Mrs. Thomas Lane of Dryden and Mrs. Lawrence Manca of Utica; 17 grandchildren, three brothers, De Forrest Simons of Corning, Frank and Grover Simons of Woodhull; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Hackett of Troupsburg and Mrs. Thorne Lesue of Osceola, Pa. Friends may call tonight and tomorrow afternoon and night at the family residence.
